4.5-litre V8, 70 Series Land Cruiser dual-cab
In 2016 we bought a 2013 4.5-litre V8, 70 Series Land Cruiser dual-cab with the thought that in a few years the ol' Patrol will be retired - not so sure about that though, so we'll see.
Anyway with plenty of time up our sleeve and any money we have more inclined to go towards travelling than a vehicle set-up we've been slow to fit any accessories.
Finally, in early 2017 we got around to fitting some decent gear to the Cruiser with all the work being done at Outback 4WD in Bayswater, Vic (http://outback4wd.com.au). They've looked after my expedition Patrol for the last 10 years or more ..... now they have our Cruiser to contend with as well.
First up was an ARB Summit bullbar and sidesteps. A Warn 9000-S winch and Lightforce Australia LED/HID driving lights completed the front end. Down the back we've fitted a Hayman Reese towbar complete with a Redarc Electronics brake controller.
We've been around the four wheel drive field, as many of you would know, a bit in the last 30 years (or more!) and I don't reckon you could fit your vehicle out with a better combo than what is shown. And, if you've read about our other rigs you'll notice a certain trend with the gear we fit ... and we do that because we know it is as good as you can get!
We've got a lot more we can do to the 70 Series (man, you can spend a fortune on these vehicles), but we'll keep it practical.
